From an early age we
begin to appoint people we look up to as our hero. As we get older we begin to
see the world in a different way. It is easy to lose ourselves and become
caught up in the chaos of our everyday lives. The heroes of our younger years
begin to fade.
It may be tempting to
think of a hero as something you will grow out of but heroes can be just as
important to us as we age. Heroes hold qualities we admire and can become
significant to self-development.
A hero is a person who
is admired or idealized for courage, outstanding achievements or noble
qualities. At Great Steps, heroes and their stories inspire us. Whether the
story is about a patient or a famous para athlete we want to hear about it! Two
of our heroes are Josh Sundquist & Sarah Reinertsen.
Josh Sundquist is a
bestselling author, motivational speaker, Paralympic ski racer and doer of
good. From CNN to YouTube Josh’s list of accomplishments goes on and on but
above all he has an outstanding personality and lives life to the fullest. Did
we mention he has a knack for rapping? Learn more about Josh HERE.
Sarah Reinertsen is an
Ironman triathlete, paralympian, author, motivational speaker, mentor, and
spokesperson. You may recognize Sarah from the “got chocolate milk?” campaign. On
top of her prestigious career Sarah spends much of her time giving back through
her roles as a spokesperson and motivational speaker. She is constantly
motivating others to realize their potential and encourage others to set goals
and face their fears. Learn more about Sarah HERE: http://www.alwaystri.com/
